Today marks exactly 18 years since the entire content of “THE LAST BOOK OF THE CENTURY” was created in a single day. The author of the unique project is photographer and director Adolf Zika, who invited 120 professional photographers to use their cameras to record the life around them on Tuesday, October 10, 2000. An ordinary day with dreary autumn weather, traffic jams in the streets, the peak of the beet campaign, people rushing to work, having fun in the evening in bars, cinemas, theatres... or even the birth of a new life... From the pictures taken, Adolf Zika compiled an epic publication with the subtitle “A Day in the Life of the Czech Republic”, which became the largest book project of 2000 and which is celebrating its coming of age today.

The retrospective exhibition of Adolf Zika, who is often called the "enfant terrible of Czech photography" for his style, is probably his last photography exhibition. The exhibition is divided into two basic parts. The first consists of an extensive exhibition of black and white artistic nudes from 30x40cm to three by four meters! The second part consists of a separate exhibition called Charisma, where you will see mostly color portraits of world celebrities, such as Johnny Depp, Miloš Forman, Emerson Fittipaldi, Deny Trejo, Boris Becker and others. The exhibition is open to the public from 10.8.2018 to 11.9.2018 and is part of the Adolf Zika film festival.

The film Robert Vano – The Story of a Man, directed by Adolf Zika, was selected for the international film festival "Art Film Fest Košice" in the "Variety Select: Art Films" section – a selection of American critics' films about art.

On April 5, 2018, the premiere of the feature-length documentary film directed by Adolf Zika, Robert Vano - The Story of a Man, took place at the AERO cinema. This film completely deviates from the category of biographical documentaries about important figures of our time, because his approach to life was never driven by the steely will and determination that we are used to with important people. The viewer therefore meets someone with whom he can identify much more easily in relation to his own life than it could be with frequent biographies of important figures.

A new book by Adolf Zika, Charisma, was released in early December 2017. The author himself was surprised by the large number of positive reviews, for which he would like to express his gratitude. This book of portraits of prominent international and Czech personalities is currently available on the shelves of selected luxury bookstores and on the PRESCO e-shop.
